Have you noticed how fast life is moving and how strong the desire can be to make it more controllable? Maybe you have also noticed a pull of things that are beyond your control that seem important to pay attention to. And maybe you even wonder what God or Spirit might have to say about all of this. Well, here’s an idea. How about some men get together for a few hours on Saturday, October 26 and get into it a bit about what all of this might be about for us. We are going to do that and you are invited!
Our Retreat Theme is The Uncontrollability of the World:
We will be digging in a bit on some great insights from a sociologist, Hartmut Rosa about acceleration and resonance. We will wonder from a spiritual perspective about how our lives are played out on the border between what we can control and that which lies beyond our control.

Steve Peterson is a retired pastor who has engaged in a wide variety of life experiences and ministries, including taking deep dives into Men’s spirituality experiences set in motion by the spiritual thinker, Richard Rohr. He offers spiritual direction through FUMC.
