Scholarships

Our congregation at First United Methodist Church is proud to offer scholarships to persons of all ages and walks of life, who follow in the United Methodist heritage of life long learning.  The scholarship funds are designed to assist United Methodist students in their college and/or seminary training.  Because of their foresight and commitment, several church members have established funds in thanks for God’s gifts and blessings to them or in memory of loved ones.  These scholarship funds are the Grannis Memorial Education Fund, the Grannis-Martin Memorial Foundation Scholarship Fund, the Stevenson Memorial Education Fund and the Doreene E. Cater Scholarship Fund.

Your application will include writing about how you expect to serve God and your neighbor through the career path for which your college education will prepare you. The committee also requires a transcript of your latest year’s work in high school or college plus two letters of recommendation.

Details are on the application form.
